Inspection Procedure

1. Check for an open or short circuit in harness and connector between the ECM and distance control ECU (See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ECU CONTROLLED SYSTEMS ).

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Remove the ECM with connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.

3. Check the signal waveform between terminal ELC (E6-29) of ECM and body ground.

   Standard: 

   The connect signal waveform appears, as shown in  Fig 2  . 

   HINT:

   • Gauge set: 1 V/DIV, 20 ms/DIV
   • Condition: Ignition switch ON

NG: REPLACE ECM 

OK: REPLACE STANCE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
