PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE - CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM

SET not occurring or CANCEL occurring (DTC is Normal)
  • 3. Input signal circuit
  • 4. Vehicle speed sensor circuit
  • 5. Stop light switch circuit
  • 6. Park/neutral position switch circuit
  • 7. ECM
SET not occurring or CANCEL occurring (DTC is not output)
  1. ECM
Actual vehicle speed deviates above or below the set speed
  1. Input signal circuit
  2. ECM
Cruise control not cancelled, even when brake pedal is depressed
  1. Stop light switch circuit
  2. ECM
Cruise control not cancelled, even when transmission is shifted to any position excepts
  1. Transmission control ECU
  2. ECM
Control switch does not operate (SET/COAST ACC/RES, CANCEL not possible)
  1. Cruise control switch circuit

SET possible at 40 km/h (25 mph) or less, or CANCEL does not operate at 40 km/h (25 mph) or less

Poor response in ACC and RES modes
