Infrared Temperature Sensor: Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The infrared temperature sensor consists of two infrared transducers that are concealed behind a clear lens located within the instrument panel mounted heater-A/C control (Fig 1 ). The infrared sensors cannot be adjusted or repaired and, if faulty or damaged, the heater-A/C control must be replaced.
