Headlight Beam Level Control Ecu Circuit

  1. Connector Disconnected -  Disconnect the connector from the ECU and inspect the connector on the wiring harness side. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL ECU CIRCUIT (CONNECTOR DISCONNECTED)  table. If the circuit is not as specified, go to step  2.
    INSPECTING HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL ECU CIRCUIT (CONNECTOR DISCONNECTED)

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    1 - 13 Ignition Switch OFF 26 - 30 Ohms
    1 - 15 Ignition Switch OFF 26 - 30 Ohms
    1 - 14 Ignition Switch OFF 26 - 30 Ohms
    1 - 16 Ignition Switch OFF 26 - 30 Ohms
    1 - 4 Ignition Switch OFF 26 - 30 Ohms
    1 - 2 Ignition Switch OFF 26 - 30 Ohms
    1 - 12 Ignition Switch OFF 26 - 30 Ohms
    1 - 3 Ignition Switch OFF 26 - 30 Ohms
    6 - 10 Ignition Switch OFF Continuity
    7 - 11 Ignition Switch OFF Continuity
    10 - 17 Ignition Switch OFF Continuity
    5 - 11 Ignition Switch OFF Continuity
    20 - Ground Ignition Switch OFF Continuity
  2. Connector Connected -  Connect the connector from the ECU and inspect the connector on the back side. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL ECU CIRCUIT (CONNECTOR CONNECTED)  table. If the circuit is not as specified, replace the ECU. See HEADLIGHTS  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

    13 - 20 Ignition Switch ON, When Keep & Bounce The Vehicle 1 Pulse Generation (1)
    15 - 20 Ignition Switch ON, When Keep & Bounce The Vehicle 1 Pulse Generation (1)
    14 - 20 Ignition Switch ON, When Keep & Bounce The Vehicle 1 Pulse Generation (1)
    16 - 20 Ignition Switch ON, When Keep & Bounce The Vehicle 1 Pulse Generation (1)
    10 - 17 Ignition Switch ON Approx. 2.5 Volts
    18 - 20 Ignition Switch ON No Continuity
    4 - 20 Ignition Switch ON, When Keep & Bounce The Vehicle 1 Pulse Generation (1)
    2 - 20 Ignition Switch ON, When Keep & Bounce The Vehicle 1 Pulse Generation (1)
    12 - 20 Ignition Switch ON, When Keep & Bounce The Vehicle 1 Pulse Generation (1)
    3 - 20 Ignition Switch ON, When Keep & Bounce The Vehicle 1 Pulse Generation (1)
    5 - 11 Ignition Switch ON Approx. 2.5 Volts
    11 - 20 Ignition Switch OFF Continuity
    10 - 17 Ignition Switch OFF Continuity
    6 - 10 Ignition Switch ON 5 Volts
    7 - 11 Ignition Switch ON 5 Volts
    10 - 20 Ignition Switch OFF Continuity
    20 - Body Ground Ignition Switch OFF Continuity
