Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK BACK DOOR POWER WINDOW OPERATION 
    1. Check that the back door power window operates via the back door power window switch.

    NG: OTHER PROBLEM (See  MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION DOES NOT OPERATE  ) 

    OK: Go To Next Step 

  2. INSPECT TAIL GATE CONTROL SWITCH ASSY (BACK DOOR LOCK KEY CYLINDER) 
    1. Disconnect the switch connector.
    2. Insert the key into the key cylinder.
    3. Check the continuity between the terminals of the switch connector when turning the key.

    STANDARD

    Terminal No. Operation Specified Condition
    1 <=> 3 Turn key to right Continuity
    1 <=> 2 No operation No continuity
    2 <=> 3 Turn key to left Continuity

    NG: REPLACE TAIL GATE CONTROL SWITCH ASSY 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR ECU <=> SWITCH)
