Inspection Procedure

Check ECU IG fuse.

PREPARATION:

Remove the ECU IG fuse from the driver side J/B.

CHECK:

Check the continuity of the ECU IG fuse.

OK:
1. Continuity
NG: Replace ECU IG fuse.

OK: Go to Next Step.
Check voltage between terminals B and GND of cruise control ECU connector.

PREPARATION:
1. Remove the ECU with the connector being.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
CHECK:

Measure the voltage between terminals B and GND of the ECU connector.

OK:
1. Voltage: 10 - 16 V
OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in problem symptoms table (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).

NG: Go to Next Step.
Check resistance between terminal GND of cruise control ECU connector and body ground.

CHECK:

Measure the resistance between terminal GND of the ECU connector and the body ground.

OK:
1. Resistance: Below 1 Ω
NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.

OK: Check and repair harness and connector between cruise control ECU and battery (See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE ) .
