Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK MARK DISPLAY (GPS MARK DISPLAY) 
    1. Preparation for the pre-check.
      1. Move the vehicle in the place with a fine view to GPS mark is displayed.
    2. Check the screen display.
      1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
      2. Turn the power switch of the navigation receiver assy ON to display the map.

      Standard: "GPS" mark is appeared 

    1. NG: Go to   4 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step 
  2. NAVIGATION CHECK MODE (VEHICLE SENSORS) 
    1. Perform vehicle signal check of navigation check mode.
      1. Start up the diagnosis system and read result of SPD signal in vehicle sensors.

      Standard: Input signal is normal (SPD) 

    1. NG: Go to   5 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step 
  3. CHECK WHEN THIS HAPPENS 
    1. Check the abnormal condition.
      1. Check the point in which the trouble occurs.

      Standard: 

    TROUBLE OCCURS

    1. B: NORMAL 
    2. A: CHECK AND REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSY 
  4. CHECK NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSY 
    1. NG: REPLACE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSY 
    2. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSY 
  5. INSPECT NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSY (SPD,E)

    1. Remove the navigation receiver assy with connectors being connected.
    2. Check voltage.
      1. Shift the shift lever to neutral.
      2. Jack up one of the front wheel.
      3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      4. Measure voltage between terminals SPD and E of navigation receiver assy when the front wheel are turned slowly.

      Voltage is generated intermittently.

    3. Check continuity.
      1. Check that the continuity exists between terminal E of navigation receiver assy and body ground.

      Standard: Continuity exists. 

    1. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSY 
    2. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
