Inspection Procedure

  1. Check voltage between terminals IND of transponder key ECU connector and body ground. 

    PREPARATION:

    Turn the ignition switch to ON and diagnosis mode.

    CHECK:

    Measure voltage between terminals IND of transponder key ECU connector and body ground when security indicator light is coming on and going off.

    OK:

    INDICATOR LIGHT VOLTAGE REFERENCE

    Indicator light Voltage
    Light up 3 - 6 V
    Does not light up Below 1 V

    1. NG : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown problem symptom table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. OK : Go to Next Step 
  2. Check combination meter (See  CIRCUIT  ). 
    1. NG : Replace combination meter. 
    2. OK : Check and replace wire harness and connector (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
