Inspection Procedure

NOTE: Troubleshooting in accordance with the chart below for each trouble symptom.

  1. LOCATION .

    See combination meter troubleshooting.

    1. NG  : Repair bulb or LOCATION .
    2. Check for open circuit in harness and connector between GAUGE fuse and skid control ECU. See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
  2. Is DTC output? 

    Check DTC P0100: MASS AIRFLOW METER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION .

    1. YES  : Repair circuit indicated by the code output.
    2. NO  : Go to step  3.
  3. Check for short circuit in harness and connector between GAUGE fuse and skid control ECU. See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
    1. NG  : Repair or replace harness or connector.
    2. NOTE: When replacing the ECU, perform the zero point calibration. See step  6 under PRE-CHECK.
    3. OK  : Check and replace skid control ECU.
