Cruise Control Main Switch ASSY: Replacement

  1. Disconnect battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove steering wheel cover lower No. 2 .
  3. Remove steering wheel cover lower No. 3 (w/o steering pad switch 4 steering wheel) .
  4. Remove connector cover (w/ steering pad switch 4 spoke steering wheel). See STEERING PAD SWITCH .
  5. Remove steering wheel cover lower No. 3 (3 spoke steering wheel).
  6. Inspect place front wheels facing straight ahead.
  7. Remove horn button .
  8. Remove steering wheel assy

    SST 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05021)

  9. Remove steering pad switch (w/ steering pad switch 4 spoke steering wheel). See STEERING PAD SWITCH .
  10. Remove cruise control main switch assy:
    1. 4 spoke steering wheel assy:

      Remove the 2 screws and steering wheel damper. See Fig 1.

    2. 4 Spoke steering wheel assy:

      Remove the 3 screws.

    3. 4 spoke steering wheel assy:

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the steering wheel boss cover LWR. See Fig 2.

    4. 4 spoke steering wheel assy:

      Remove the 2 screws and cruise control main switch assy. See Fig 3.

    5. 3 spoke steering wheel assy:

      Remove the 3 screws. See Fig 4.

    6. 3 spoke steering wheel assy:

      Reverse the steering wheel, remove the 3 screws and cruise control main switch assy. See Fig 5.

    7. Disengage the wiring pins other than the cruise control main switch assy from the connector, and pull them out. See Fig 6.
  11. Center spiral cable .
  12. Install steering wheel assy
  13. Inspect steering wheel center point
  14. Inspect horn button assy
  15. Install horn button assy
  16. Inspect SRS warning light
