Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK FUSE (ECU-IG) 
    1. Remove the ECU-IG fuse from instrument panel junction block.
    2. Check continuity of ECU-IG fuse.

      Standard: Continuity 

    1. NG: REPLACE FUSE 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  2. INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (+B, BODY GROUND) 
    1. Remove the ECU with connector still connected.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Measure voltage between terminals +B (C15-2) and GND (C15-16) of ECU connector.

      Standard: 10 - 14 V 

    1. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
    2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GND, BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure resistance between terminal GND (C15-16) of ECU connector and body ground.

      Standard: Below one ohm

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BATTERY <--> CRUISE CONTROL ECU)
