Inspection Procedure

Check ECU IG fuse .
1. Remove the ECU IG fuse from the driver side J/B.

2. Check the continuity of the ECU IG fuse.
  OK: Continuity
  1. OK: Go to next step.
  2. NG: Replace ECU IG fuse.
Check voltage between terminals B and GND of cruise control ECU connector .
1. Remove the ECU with the connector being.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  Measure the voltage between terminals B and GND of the ECU connector.

  OK: Voltage: 10 - 16 V
  1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
  2. NG: Go to next step.
Check resistance between terminal GND of cruise control ECU connector and body ground .
1. Measure the resistance between terminal GND of the ECU connector and the body ground.

  OK: Resistance - Below 1 Ohm
  1. OK: Check and repair harness and connector between cruise control ECU and battery. See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
  2. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
