Rear Interior Light Does Not Work

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Toyota Avalon. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Remove and inspect bulb for broken filament. Replace as necessary. If bulb is okay, using DVOM, check for continuity between light fixture terminals. With bulb installed and switch in ON position, continuity should exist. With switch in OFF position, continuity should not exist. If continuity is not as specified, replace bulb or light fixture. If continuity is as specified, check for faulty circuit in Pink/Blue wire between interior light fixture and DOME fuse, and in White/Black wire between interior light fixture and ground. Repair as necessary.
