Test No. 29: Power Door Lock System Does Not Operate On Any Door
- Check DOOR No. 1 fuse (25-amp), DOOR No. 2 fuse (15-amp) and GAUGE No. 1 fuse (10-amp). DOOR No. 1 and GAUGE No. 1 fuses are located in fuse/relay box at driver's side of instrument panel. See Figure. DOOR No. 2 fuse is located in fuse/relay box at driver's side front corner of engine compartment. See Figure. If fuses are okay, go to next step. If any fuse is defective, repair short in wiring for appropriate fuse. See WIRING DIAGRAMS in KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS - AVALON article. For additional wiring for power supply circuit, see POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
- Check driver door control system for trouble symptoms. See TROUBLE SHOOTING PROCEDURE (DRIVER DOOR CONTROL SYSTEM) under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If no trouble symptoms exist, go to next step. If any trouble symptoms exist, perform specified test for trouble symptom.
- Check body Electronic Control Unit (ECU) for proper voltage and input signals. See BODY ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT under PIN VOLTAGE TESTS. If proper voltage and input signals exist, go to next step. If proper voltage or input signal does not exist, repair as necessary and recheck power door lock system operation.
- Replace body ECU with a known-good body ECU and recheck power door lock system operation. If power door lock system operation system operates properly, original body ECU was defective. If power door lock system still does not operate properly, check wiring harness and electrical connectors for body ECU and power door lock system for an intermittent problem. See WIRING DIAGRAMS in KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS - AVALON article. Repair wiring harness or electrical connector as necessary.
