Inspection Procedure

  1. Check security indicator light. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Remove heater control assembly (A/C SW)

    (REMOVAL )

    CHECK: 

    Connect the positive (+) lead to terminal 6 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4 of heater control connector

    OK: 

    1. Security indicator light comes on.

    1. NG : Replace heater control assembly. 
    2. OK : Go to Next Step 
  2. Check harness and connector between ECM and security indicator light, and security indicator light and body ground (See  PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Check and replace ECM *1  . 

    * 1: When there is a malfunction that the engine immobiliser system cannot be set, proceed to the next numbered circuit inspection shown in problem symptoms table (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
