Diagnostic Procedure

Retrieve DTCs for engine management system. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article. Repair engine management system as necessary. If Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) is on all the time, check to ensure that ECM connector going to MIL is plugged in securely. Repair as necessary.
