Test No. 7: Back Door Power Window Switch Circuit: Testing

  1. Check operation of back door power window switch. See POWER WINDOWS article for 1999 models and POWER WINDOWS article for 2000 models. If switch is okay, go to step  2. If switch is faulty, replace switch.
  2. Check for faulty connectors and wiring between switch and body Electronic Control Unit (ECU). See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  3. Repair wiring or connectors as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, go to next test listed in appropriate SYMPTOM INDEX table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
