Circuit Description

The IAT sensor is a thermistor built into the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor and is used to monitor temperature of air flowing into the intake manifold. DTC is set when ECM detects an open or short circuit. Possible causes are:

NOTE: If DTCs 22, 24, and 41 are output together, inspect ECM terminal E2 (ground) circuit. Repair as necessary. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
