Code Detection Test Drive

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Remove EFI (15 amp) fuse for at least 10 seconds. Connect jumper wire between DLC2 terminals TE2 and E1. See Figure. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Idle engine for 3 minutes. Snap accelerate engine 3 times to 4000 RPM. Run engine at 2000 RPM for 90 seconds. If malfunction exists, MIL will illuminate while engine is operated at 4000 RPM.
