Circuit Description
The IAT sensor is a thermistor mounted in the volume air flow meter to monitor air temperature flowing to intake manifold. Code is set when ECM detects a open or short circuit. Possible causes are:
- IAT sensor open or short circuit.
- IAT sensor malfunction.
- ECM malfunction.
NOTE:
If codes 22, 24, and 41 are output together, inspect ECM terminal E2 (ground) circuit. Repair as needed. See wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS
section.
NOTE:
When diagnosing ECM circuits, manufacturer recommends using test harness (09990-01000).
