Circuit Description

The IAT sensor is a thermistor mounted in the volume airflow meter to monitor air temperature flowing to intake manifold. Code is set when ECM detects a open or short circuit. Possible causes are:

NOTE: If Codes 22, 24, and 41 are output together, inspect ECM terminal E2 (ground) circuit. Repair as needed. See wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
NOTE: When diagnosing ECM circuits, manufacturer recommends using Test Harness (09990-01000).
