Code Detection Test Drive

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Remove EFI (15-amp) fuse for at least 10 seconds. Reinstall fuse. Using jumper wire, connect DLC1 terminals TE2 and E1. See Figure. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Snap accelerate engine 3 times to 4000 RPM. Test drive vehicle at 30-60 MPH (2000 RPM) for 90 seconds. If malfunction exists, MIL will illuminate while performing test drive.
