Cold Start Injector: Removal

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE  under FUEL SYSTEM. Drain cooling system. Remove throttle body. See THROTTLE BODY  under FUEL SYSTEM.
  2. Remove union bolts, gaskets and cold start injector fuel pipe. See Figure. Disconnect electrical connector at cold start injector. Remove bolts, cold start injector and gasket from intake manifold.
