RPM Signal

Crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor deliver input signals to Engine Control Module (ECM) to indicate crankshaft position. Camshaft position input signal is delivered to ECM terminal G22+ and G22-, and crankshaft position sensor engine RPM input signal is delivered to ECM terminal NE+ and NE-. The ECM uses input signals for controlling fuel injection system, ignition timing (spark advance), idle speed control system, EGR system, heated oxygen sensor system and intake air control valve system.
