Centrifugal & Vacuum Advance

  1. Disconnect vacuum hoses from vacuum diaphragms. Apply vacuum to each diaphragm. Check that vacuum units move when applying vacuum. Replace defective unit, as required.
  2. Check centrifugal advance by turning rotor counterclockwise and then releasing rotor. Check that rotor returns quickly. If rotor does not return quickly, repair or replace as required.
