Throttle Position Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1987 Toyota Supra. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Throttle Position (TP) sensor is mounted on throttle body and is directly connected to throttle linkage. The sensor, a rotary potentiometer, signals ECU of changes in throttle valve position. This information is used for controlling fuel injection duration and idle speed control system.
