CONDITION & CAUSE

Some 1982-85 Toyota vehicles equipped with air conditioned may exhibit a failure of the air conditioning to cool the air. This condition may be caused by refrigerant (R-12) that is leaking from the line fittings.

DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR

Inspect all fitting for obvious leakage. Replace the line connection "O" rings with new "O" rings. Always oil "O" rings prior to installation and use care not to overtighten the "O" rings. Overtightening will cause "O" rings to deform and leak.
