Center Console - Console Structure, Assembly - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. With an assistant, install the center console structure assembly into the vehicle as follows:
    1. Tilt the front of the console structure downwards.
    2. Slide the console structure towards the front of the vehicle.
    3. Tilt the rear of the console structure downwards until it is in place.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the right front of the center console, and then install the clip that attaches the electrical harness.

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the rear of the center console.
    NOTE: Install the clip that attaches the electrical connector to the center console first and then connect the electrical harness.
    CAUTION: Ensure the connector is properly installed. Perform a push-pull test before continuing this procedure.

  4. Install the center console sliding bin lid assembly. See INTERIOR TRIM - CENTER CONSOLE - CENTER CONSOLE - CONSOLE SLIDING DOOR ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  5. Install the center console top face panel. See CENTER CONSOLE - TOP FACE PANEL ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  6. Install the center console armrest. See INTERIOR TRIM - CENTER CONSOLE - ARMREST ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND INSTALL .
  7. Reconnect the LV power. See LV BATTERY - LI-LON - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
  8. Install the RH center console decor trim. See CENTER CONSOLE - HOCKET STICK, LH, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  9. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the RH front of the center console to the body.

    7 N.m (5.2 lbs-ft) 

    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 10 mm socket
    • 2 in extension
    • Torque Wrench Hexagon - 1060071-00-A

  10. Install the RH center console front side panel. See CENTER CONSOLE - CONSOLE SIDE PANEL, CARPET, RH, LHD - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  11. Install the RH center console rear side panel. See CENTER CONSOLE - REAR SIDE PANEL, LH, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  12. Install the LH center console decor trim. See CENTER CONSOLE - HOCKET STICK, LH, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  13. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front of the center console to the body.

    7 N.m (5.2 lbs-ft) 

    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 10 mm socket
    • 2 in extension
    • Torque Wrench Hexagon - 1060071-00-A

  14. Install the LH center console front side panel. See CENTER CONSOLE - CONSOLE SIDE PANEL, CARPET, LH, LHD - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  15. Install the LH center console rear side panel. See CENTER CONSOLE - REAR SIDE PANEL, LH, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  16. Install the bolt that attaches the RH rear of the center console to the body. Repeat this step for the LH rear of the center console.

    7 N.m (5.2 lbs-ft) 

    NOTE: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 10 mm socket
    • 2 in extension
    • Torque Wrench Hexagon - 1060071-00-A

  17. Install the center console rear end panel. See CENTER CONSOLE - CONSOLE REAR END PANEL, ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  18. Install the phone dock assembly. See INTERIOR TRIM - CENTER CONSOLE - CENTER CONSOLE - PHONE DOCK - CLIP - REMOVE AND REPLACE 
  19. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
