ABS Modulator Assembly - Remove And Replace: Removal

  1. Remove the underhood storage unit for access Underhood Storage Unit (Remove And Install) .
  2. Release the brake pipes (x6) from the ABS modulator (torque M10 14 N.m, M12 23 N.m).
    CAUTION: Plug pipe connections to prevent ingress of moisture or dirt.
    NOTE: Place suitable absorbent material around the affected area to absorb any possible fluid spillage.

  3. Remove the front skid plate Skidplate - Front (Remove And Replace) .
  4. Disconnect the ABS electrical connector.
  5. Remove the nuts (x2) that secure the ABS modulator to the damper bracket rubber mountings (torque 9 N.m).

  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Release the ABS modulator from the rubber mounting.
  8. Remove the ABS modulator from the vehicle.
