Gaskets - Antistatic - Autopilot ECU - Install: Install

- If not already cut to size, cut the EMI gasket (1656238-00-A or later) into two pieces: one piece 25 mm long and another piece 9 mm long.
- Put on the ESD wrist strap.
- Carefully install the 9 mm EMI gasket on the RH side of the Autopilot ECU, between the purple electrical connector housing and ECU case.NOTE: To ensure proper grounding, make sure the gasket makes complete contact with the Autopilot ECU case.
Tip: Use a pocket screwdriver and/or tweezers to aid in installation.
- Carefully install the 25 mm EMI gasket on the RH side of the Autopilot ECU, between the blue and black electrical connector housings and ECU case.NOTE: To ensure proper grounding, make sure the gasket makes complete contact with the Autopilot ECU case.
Tip: Use a pocket screwdriver and/or tweezers to aid in installation.
- Remove the ESD wrist strap.
- Without updating firmware or executing any Toolbox routines, install the Autopilot ECU. See MODULE - AUTOPILOT - ECU - 2ND GENERATION (REMOVE AND REPLACE) .
- Install the glove box and RH instrument panel lower assembly. See Glove Box (Remove and Replace) .
- Reconnect 12V power. See DISCONNECT 12V POWER .
