Module - Front Door Controller - LH - Remove And Replace: Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  1. Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect And Disconnect) .
  2. Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication, if not already unlocked. See Gateway Unlock .
  3. In Toolbox 3, run the appropriate ODIN routine to configure the door controller:
    • Run PROC_BCFDM_FRONT-DRV_SIDE-LEARN  when replacing the driver side front door controller module.
    • Run PROC_BCFPM_FRONT-PASS_SIDE-LEARN  when replacing the passenger side front door controller module.
  4. In Toolbox 3, run the appropriate ODIN routine to restore the front door actuator calibration values, using the calibration values as noted down in step 4 of the removal section:
    • Run PROC_BCFDM_FRONT-DRV_WRITE-PFD-ACTUATOR-CAL when replacing the driver side front door controller module.
    • Run PROC_BCFPM_FRONT-PASS_WRITE-PFD-ACTUATOR-CAL when replacing the passenger side front door controller module
  5. Reinstall the latest vehicle firmware, or update the firmware if not the latest. See FIRMWARE REINSTALL - TOUCHSCREEN or FIRMWARE UPDATE .
