2nd Generation: Removal

  1. Disconnect 12V power DISCONNECT 12V POWER .
  2. Remove the RH side rear trunk trim Trim - Rear Trunk - Side - RH (Remove And Replace) .
    NOTE: The park assist module, park brake module, and liftgate module are removed as an assembly.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the park assist module, park brake module, and liftgate module.
  4. Release the clip that secures the module assembly bracket to the body.
  5. Release the fasteners that secure the module assembly bracket to the body. Remove the module assembly and bracket from the vehicle.
  6. Remove the park assist module from the module assembly bracket.
