DTC Confirmation Test

  1. Ensure intake air temperature is 6.8-158°F (-14-70°C), vehicle is at an altitude of 9150 feet or below, and barometric pressure is 74 kPa or more. Turn ignition off, connect scan tool and turn ignition on. Clear DTCs. See MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT (MIL) RESET PROCEDURE under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article. Start engine. Drive vehicle at speeds of 25 MPH or more with throttle steady for one minute.
  2. Stop vehicle. Check for pending or set DTC P1410. See RETRIEVING DTCS under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article.
