DTC B1403: Immobilizer Sub Control Module Collation

Diagnosis start condition: 

• Battery voltage is 10 V or more.
• The remote engine starter was not used to start the engine.

DTC detecting condition: 

• Other than for C5 model

  Reference code incompatibility between body integrated unit and central gateway Control Module

• C5 model

  Reference code incompatibility between immobilizer Control Module and central gateway Control Module

Trouble symptom: 

• Engine will not start.
• The security indicator illuminates.

1. REGISTRATION OF CENTRAL Gateway Control Module  .

   Perform the central gateway Control Module registration. Refer to the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume.

   Is registration complete?

   Yes:  Currently, it is normal. (Registration of central gateway Control Module was not completed.)

   No:  Refer to "Correspondence table when registration is not possible" in the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume. If the registration still does not work properly, replace the central gateway Control Module. Ref. to BODY CONTROL/COMMUNICATION SYSTEM>CENTRAL GATEWAY CONTROL MODULE .
