Bluetooth DOES NOT OPERATE

Probable cause: 

Bluetooth device malfunction, influence by external devices, unit body malfunction

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. CHECK DTC  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Cockpit Control]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY .
    3. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
    4. Read the DTC of [Cockpit Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Is DTC B2249 displayed? (Current code)

    Yes  : Perform the diagnosis of DTC B2249. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>DTC B2249 BLUETOOTH MODULE .

    No  : Go to  2.

  2. CHECK Bluetooth DEVICE  .

    Restart the Bluetooth device, and connect again.

    Does it start properly?

    Yes  : Currently no failure is found.

    No  : Go to  3.

  3. CHECK Bluetooth DEVICE  .

    Re-register the Bluetooth device, and connect again.

    Is connection established?

    Yes  : Currently no failure is found.

    No  : Go to  4.

  4. CHECK Bluetooth DEVICE  .

    Connect other Bluetooth device.

    NOTE: For supported Bluetooth standards, refer to owner's service information.

    Is connection established?

    Yes  : Bluetooth device which cannot be connected might be faulty.

    No  : Go to  5.

  5. CHECK ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITION  .

    Check if any external devices which emit strong electromagnetic waves and noises, such as a radio antenna, is installed inside the vehicle.

    Check that no such device is installed. Is the result OK?

    Yes  : Replace the cockpit control module. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>Cockpit Display .

    No  : Remove the external device and perform the inspection from step 1 again. Go to  1.
