Radar Sensor: Inspection

CAUTION:

Measure the installation angle of radar sensor without passengers.

  1. Before performing the inspection, check the following items.
    1. The inflation pressure of tires is correct.
    2. The vehicle does not have load.
    3. Vehicle's fuel tank is fully filled.
    4. The workplace is flat and level.
  2. Place the digital angle gauge on a level surface, and perform rezero adjustment.
    NOTE:

    Refer to the operation manual accompanied with the digital angle gauge.

  3. Measure the installation angle of the radar sensor.
    1. As shown in the figure, place the digital angle gauge (a) on the front surface of the radar sensor, and check that the vertical angle is within the normal range.

      Specification: 

      90°±4°

    2. As shown in the figure, place the digital angle gauge (a) on the top surface of the radar sensor, and check that the horizontal angle is within the normal range.

      3. Specification: 

      0°±4°

  4. If the inspection result is out of normal range, it is assumed that the radar bracket or its installation location, etc. on the vehicle may be deformed. Check the installation condition of the radar bracket or the installation location.
