Boot Steering Gearbox

Inspect both sides of the boot steering gearbox as follows, and correct the defects if necessary.

  1. The (A) and (B) positions of the boot steering gearbox are fitted in (A) and (C) grooves of the steering gearbox assembly and the tie-rod.
  2. Clips are fitted onto the boot steering gearbox grooves at the positions (A) and (B) of the boot steering gearbox.
  3. Check that there is no cracks or holes in the boot steering gearbox.
NOTE: Rotate (B) position of boot steering gearbox against the torsion produced by the adjustment of toe-in etc. Apply grease to the groove (C).
