PCV Pipe: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Connect the quick connector of the PCV pipe assembly to the cylinder block pipe section.
    CAUTION:
    • Always use a new PCV pipe assembly.
    • Check that there is no damage or dust on the quick connector. If necessary, clean the seal surface of the pipe.
    • Make sure that the quick connector is securely connected.

  2. Connect the connector (A) and terminal (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    15.5 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.4 ft-lb)

  3. Install the PCV pipe assembly to the intake manifold assembly.

  4. Connect the PCV pipe assembly to the intake duct No. 1, and lock it.
    CAUTION:
    • Make sure there are no damage or dust on connections. If necessary, clean the seal surface of the pipe.
    • Confirm that the connections are secure.
    NOTE: It is possible to install with the spring locked.

  5. Install the intake duct No. 2. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>INTAKE DUCT>INSTALLATION>INTAKE DUCT NO. 2 .
  6. Install the V-belt tensioner assembly. Ref. to V-BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY .
  7. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
