Check Valve: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the vacuum hose stay.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

  2. Connect the vacuum hose to the intake duct No. 1.

  3. Install the under cover front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>INSTALLATION .
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum pipe.

  6. Connect the vacuum hose (A) to the purge control solenoid valve, and install the vacuum pipe and vacuum hose to the intake manifold assembly.

  7. Connect the vacuum hose to the check valve No. 2 using a new clamp and the Clamp pincer (14100134).

  8. Connect the vacuum hose (A) to the intake manifold assembly.
  9. Install the check valve No. 2 to the vacuum hose (B), and install the vacuum hose (B) to the intake manifold assembly.

  10. Install the generator. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DOTC)>GENERATOR>INSTALLATION .
  11. Connect the vacuum hose (A) to the check valve No. 1 (B), and install the clip to the vacuum hose stay.

  12. Install the intake duct No. 2. Ref. to INTAKE DUCT NO. 2 .
  13. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
