Rear Left Power Window Does Not Work. (With Telematics)

Trouble causes:

Power window system Ref. to WIRING SYSTEM>POWER WINDOW SYSTEM>WIRING DIAGRAM .

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description>CAUTION .
  1. CHECK BATTERY  .

    Check the battery. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO)>BATTERY>INSPECTION .

    Is the battery OK?

    Yes:  Go to  2 .

    No:  Charge or replace the battery.

  2. CHECK DTC  .

    Read the DTC of [Power Window (Rear Left)] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Are any DTCs displayed? (Current malfunction)

    Yes:  Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)>LIST .

    No:  Go to  3 .

  3. CHECK [Window Lock Switch Signal] (DATA MONITOR)  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data monitor] of [Power Window (Rear Left)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
      • Window Lock Switch Signal

    Is "UNLOCK" displayed?

    Yes:  Go to  4 .

    No:  Unlock the window lock to operate.

  4. CHECK [Power Supply Voltage] (DATA MONITOR)  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data monitor] of [Power Window (Rear Left)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
      • Power Supply Voltage

    Is the displayed voltage approximately 10.0 V or more?

    Yes:  Go to  5 .

    No:  Replace the rear regulator and motor assembly LH. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REAR REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY .

  5. CHECK [Operation Enable Signal] (DATA MONITOR)  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data monitor] of [Power Window (Rear Left)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .

    • Operation Enable Signal

    Is [ON] displayed?

    Yes:  Go to  6 .

    No:  Inspect the body integrated unit. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .

    If no fault is found in the body integrated unit, replace the rear regulator and motor assembly LH. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REAR REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY .

  6. CHECK REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH LH  .

    Operate the rear power window switch LH and roll down the window to the full open position.

    Alternatively, operate the rear power window switch LH and roll up the window to the full close position.

    Does the window roll up and down?

    Yes:  Go to  7 .

    No:  Perform unit inspection of rear power window switch LH. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>POWER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH .

  7. CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT)  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Disconnect the rear power window switch LH connector.
    3. Disconnect the rear regulator and motor assembly LH connector.
    4. Using a tester, measure the resistance between the body integrated unit connector, the rear power window switch LH connector and the rear regulator and motor assembly LH connector.

      Connector and terminal 

      (D25) No. 6 - (D24) No. 8:

      (D25) No. 5 - (D24) No. 6:

    Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

    Yes:  Replace the rear regulator and motor assembly LH. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>REAR REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY .

    No:  Repair the open circuit of harness between the rear power window switch LH connector and the rear regulator and motor assembly LH connector.
