Rear Seat Reclining System: Installation

CAUTION:

Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
Side impact sensor (under the rear center seat) for the airbag system is located under the front center of the rear seat cushion. Be careful not to apply strong impact to the sensor when working with the rear seat cushion removed.

Use the following procedures to install the stay rear floor and spring BRKT.

1. Temporarily tighten the bolt (a).
2. Tighten the bolts (b) and (c) to the specified torque.
3. Tighten the bolts (a) and (d) and the nut (e) to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:

33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)
Install the striker backrest rear.
Tightening torque:

33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)
Install the trim panel assembly apron.
Install the rear seat. Ref. to SEATS>Rear Seat>INSTALLATION .
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
