PCV Pipe: Removal

CAUTION: Do not remove except when the PCV pipe assembly is broken.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the V-belt tensioner assembly. Ref. to MECHANICAL (H4DOTC)>V-belt>REMOVAL>V-BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY .
  3. Remove the intake duct No. 2. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>Intake Duct>REMOVAL>INTAKE DUCT NO. 2 .
  4. Release the lock by sliding the spring, and disconnect the PCV pipe assembly from the intake duct No. 1.

  5. Remove the PCV pipe assembly from the intake manifold assembly.

  6. Disconnect the connector (A) and terminal (B).

  7. Remove the PCV pipe assembly.
    1. Using a pair of nippers, make a slit at the PCV pipe welded section (A) and separate into each part.
    2. Release the spring lock in the arrow direction, and remove the rest of the PCV pipe assembly.
