Ground Terminal Removal Or Installation

- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor.NOTE: Open the rear gate as necessary before disconnecting the ground terminal from the battery sensor.
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor.NOTE:
- Install the battery sensor while holding it by hand to prevent rotating.
- Clean the battery cable terminals and apply grease to retard the formation of corrosion.
- Connect the positive terminal, and then connect the ground terminal to the battery sensor.
- Some DTCs may be detected, so after connecting the ground terminal to the battery sensor, wait for 10 seconds or more and then turn the ignition switch to ON.
- After the battery is installed, initial diagnosis of the electronic throttle control is performed. Wait for 10 seconds or more after turning the ignition switch to ON, and then start the engine.

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
