EGR Control Valve: Installation

  1. Set a new gasket.
  2. Set the EGR control valve, and install the stud bolts using TORX® socket E8.

    Tightening torque: 

    5 N.m (0.5 kgf-m, 3.7 ft-lb)

  3. Temporarily tighten the nuts securing the EGR control valve.

  4. Install the bolts securing the EGR control valve to the EGR cooler.

    Tightening torque: 

    19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

  5. Connect the connector (A) to the EGR control valve.

  6. Tighten the nuts securing the EGR control valve and the bolts securing the EGR cooler in the order of (1) → (2) → (3) → (4).

    Tightening torque: 

    19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

  7. Install the intercooler, Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>INTERCOOLER>INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
