MT Gear Shift Cable: Removal

Disconnect the ground cable from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Lift up the vehicle.
Remove the front exhaust pipe. Ref. to FRONT EXHAUST PIPE .
Remove the center exhaust cover.

Remove the cable clamp.

Remove the dust cover.

Remove the snap pin and washer.

Remove the bolts holding the shift bracket.

Remove the shift bracket together with the MT gear shift cable.
CAUTION: Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).

Remove the cable cover plate.

Disconnect the MT gear shift cable.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to deform the cable inner.
- Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).
NOTE: Pull out down the MT gear shift cable to spread the spring.

Remove the clamp.

Pull out the MT gear shift cable.
CAUTION:
- Do not bend MT gear shift cable at a sharp angle.
- Do not twist the cable inner excessively.
