- Check CAN communication system. (Refer to HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT
)
- Inspection of skid control ECM connector connection
- Check if the skid control ECM connector is properly connected.
Criteria: The connector is properly connected.
NG: Properly connect the connector to the ECM.
OK: Go to next step
- Check if the skid control ECM connector is properly connected.
- Check the battery.
- Check the battery voltage.
Standard voltage: 11 to 14 V
NG: Repair or replace charging system components or battery (Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
OK: Go to next step
- Check the battery voltage.
- Check the Current Data Display (VSC SPORT mode)
- Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Using SSM3, check [Current Data Display] of [VSC SPORT MODE]. (Refer to CURRENT DATA DISPLAY & SAVE
)

Sports: Vehicle stability control SPORT mode- - Using SSM3, make sure that the state of the switch displayed in SSM3 changes depending on the Vehicle stability control SPORT switch operation.
Criteria: The display of the SSM3 changes depending on the operation of Vehicle stability control SPORT switch.
NG: Go to Step 6.
OK: Go to next step
- Combination meter assembly check
- Using SSM3, display [System Operation Check Mode] of the combination meter assembly (meter CPU). (Refer to CURRENT DATA DISPLAY & SAVE/SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK MODE )
- Check the combination meter assembly.
Criteria: Vehicle stability control SPORT indicator light is turned ON or OFF depending on the SSM3 operation.

- Check the Vehicle stability control SPORT switch. (Refer to INSTALLATION
)
NG: Replacement of Vehicle stability control SPORT switch (Refer to VSC (VDC) OFF SWITCH )
OK: Go to next step
- Check the Vehicle stability control SPORT switch. (Refer to INSTALLATION
)
- Harness and connector check (skid control ECM - Vehicle stability control SPORT switch)
- Disconnect the skid control ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the following table.
Normal resistance
