DTC B1414 Immobilizer Control Module Non-Volatile Memory Failure: Trouble Symptom

Engine will not start.

CAUTION: When the immobilizer control module is replaced, registration of the immobilizer system is required. For details, refer to the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER".
DIAGNOSTICS PROCEDURE

Step Check Yes No
1 CHECK DTC. 
  1. Disconnect and reconnect the battery.
  2. Read the DTC of the immobilizer control module. <Ref. to READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .>
Is DTC B1414 displayed? Go to step 2.  Finish the diagnosis.
2 CHECK DTC. 
  1. Perform the Clear Memory Mode. <Ref. to CLEAR MEMORY MODE .>
  2. Disconnect and reconnect the battery.
  3. Read the DTC of the immobilizer control module. <Ref. to READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .>
Is DTC B1414 displayed? Replace the immobilizer control module. <Ref. to IMMOBILIZER CONTROL MODULE .> Finish the diagnosis.
