DTC B1414 Immobilizer Control Module Non-Volatile Memory: Trouble Symptom

Engine will not start.

CAUTION: When the immobilizer control module is replaced, registration of the immobilizer system is required. For details, refer to the "REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Check	Yes	No
1 CHECK DTC. Disconnect the ground cable from battery. Wait for at least 10 seconds. Connect the ground cable to battery. Read the DTC of the immobilizer control module. < Ref. to READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) . >	Is DTC B1414 displayed?	Go to step 2 .	The system has returned to a normal condition at this time. Finish the diagnosis.
2 CHECK DTC. Perform the Clear Memory Mode. < Ref. to CLEAR MEMORY MODE . > Disconnect the ground cable from battery. Wait for at least 10 seconds. Connect the ground cable to battery. Read the DTC of the immobilizer control module. < Ref. to READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) . >	Is DTC B1414 displayed?	Replace the immobilizer control module. < Ref. to IMMOBILIZER CONTROL MODULE . >	The system has returned to a normal condition at this time. Finish the diagnosis.
