Inspection steps

Performance of the SSM3 [System Operation Check Mode]

Using SSM3, perform the [System Operation Check Mode] by following the display. (Refer to DISPLAY OF CURRENT DATA/SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK MODE )

Criteria: [System Operation Check Mode] is performed properly.

SSM3 DISPLAY: [EACH SYSTEM CHECK] →[POWER WINDOW] →[WORK SUPPORT] →[SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK MODE]

B: Replacement of the power window regulator switch assembly (Refer to POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH assembly (INSTALLED TO THE FRONT SIDE) )

A: Go to Next Step

Inspection of the wire harness and connector (power window regulator switch assembly - battery and chassis ground)

Disconnect the connector F6 of power window regulator switch assembly (passenger's seat).

Measure the voltage between the terminals.

VOLTAGE

Inspection terminals (Terminal symbol)	Inspection conditions	Standard value
F6-12 (+B) - chassis ground	Always	11 to 14 V

Measure the resistance between the terminals.

RESISTANCE

Inspection terminals (Terminal symbol)	Inspection conditions	Standard value
F6-5 (GND) - chassis ground	Always	Less than 1 Ω

NG: Repair or replacement of wiring harness or connector

OK: Go to Next Step

Inspection of the wire harness and connector (power window regulator switch assembly - power window regulator motor assembly LH (passenger's seat))

Disconnect the connector F6 of power window regulator switch assembly (passenger's seat).
Disconnect the connector F1 of power window regulator motor assembly LH (passenger's seat).

Measure the resistance between the terminals.

RESISTANCE (OPEN CIRCUIT CHECK)

Inspection terminals (Terminal symbol)	Inspection conditions	Standard value
F6-6 (WU) - F1-1 (WU)	Always	Less than 1 Ω
F6-7 (WD) - F1-3 (WD)	Always	Less than 1 Ω

RESISTANCE (SHORT CIRCUIT CHECK)

F6-6 (WU) - chassis ground	Always	10 kΩ or more
F6-7 (WD) - chassis ground	Always	10 kΩ or more

NG: Repair or replacement of wiring harness or connector

OK: Go to Next Step

Replacement of the power window regulator switch assembly

Replace with the new or normal power window regulator switch assembly, and verify normal operation. (Refer to POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH assembly )
