Monitor Description

The diagnostics system monitors the E.F.I. water temperature sensor functional checks. After the engine is started, if the engine coolant temperature does not reach to the range required for the closed loop air/fuel ratio control within the specified time period, the diagnostics system judges that there is a malfunction in the E.F.I. water temperature sensor and stores the DTC.

64 ms + (0 to 185.3) ms (varies depending on vehicle speed, lowest engine coolant temperature and idle switch status)
[390574 - (20900 x lowest engine coolant temperature)] or more
TYPICAL MALFUNCTION THRESHOLDS

Engine coolant temperature Less than 20°C {68°F}
